Nestled in the heart of Caernarfon, Capel Engedi is more than just a monument; it's a beacon of ambition and community spirit. It played a pivotal role in orchestrating 'Y Wladfa', Welsh settlement in the distant lands of Patagonia. Against all odds, this challenging endeavour bore fruit, leading to a remarkable Welsh-speaking community in South America that still exists today.

Engedi's legacy is intertwined with the tapestry of Caernarfon's history, from the bustling slate industry to its modern challenges and triumphs. We now face many new threats and while the build has fallen into decline, today we embark on a new venture to rejuvenate and reimagine the chapel and we invite you to join us in celebrating its rich past and shaping its vibrant future.
